Arthur K Balin, MD, PhD, FACP

Arthur K. Balin, MD, PhD, PC, is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist at the Sally Balin Medical Center in Media, Pennsylvania. As one of the few doctors in the United States to have 7 board certifications, Dr. Balin is also an expert in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Mohs surgery for skin cancer, and Cosmetic Surgery. 

Dr. Balin completed his doctorate in medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in 1974. After graduating from the program, he pursued further education at the university, graduating with his doctoral degree in biochemistry in 1976. 

He has specialized training in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), dermatology and dermatopathology training at the prestigious Yale University, and advanced education in Mohs surgery and skin cancer at Baylor University Medical Center. 

Dr. Balin started his medical career as an assistant professor at The Rockefeller University. Following his time as an instructor, he began his first private practice in Chester, Pennsylvania, in 1991. 

Since then, Dr. Balin has become a world-renowned leader in cosmetic and general dermatology and dermatopathology. He is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and was honored by Newsweek as one of “America’s Best Dermatologists” in 2022. 

At his office in the Sally Balin Medical Center, Dr. Balin offers patient-focused care and the highest level of expertise. He encourages people 20 and older to participate in skin cancer screenings, but also provides individualized attention for cosmetic services such as Botox®, dermal fillers, laser treatments, and Kybella® chin fat reduction.  

Dr. Balin is also one of the first physicians in the Philadelphia area to utilize Ellacor® for nonsurgical facelifts, an innovative, anti-aging treatment that targets excess skin and wrinkles through a technique called Micro-Coring™ (removing skin on the microscale).
